Local Laws

The Local Government Act 1995 enables Western Australian local governments to make local laws considered necessary for the good government of their districts. Laws can only be made when authorised by the Local Government Act 1995 (the Act) or other written laws, but cannot be inconsistent with any State or Federal law.

Shire of Kulin Cemeteries Local Law 2020

This local law provides for the orderly management of the Kulin Public Cemetery (Reserve 192552), Dudinin Public Cemetery (Reserve 14995) and the Pingaring Public Cemetery (Lot 3142) in accordance with established plans and to create offences for inappropriate behaviour within the cemetery grounds.

Shire of Kulin Dogs Local Law 2020

This local law makes provisions about the impounding of dogs, to control the number of dogs that can be kept on premises and the manner of keeping those dogs and to prescribe areas which dogs are prohibited.

Shire of Kulin Standing Orders Local Law 2020

This local law provides for the conduct of meetings of the Council, Committees and electors.

    Shire of Kulin Animals, Environment and Nuisance Amendment Local Law 2018

    This local law provides for the regulation, control and management of animals and the prevention of environmental damage and nuisances within the Shire of Kulin.

    Shire of Kulin Health Local Law 2016

    This local law provides for the regulation, control and management of day to day public health matters within the Shire of Kulin.
