WSFR Project Update

Wednesday 27th March saw an announcement of the Federal Government’s $70 million commitment through the Roads of Strategic Importance (ROSI) initiative for the Wheatbelt Secondary Freight Route (WSFR). The Shire of Kulin’s CEO has been Project Manager who has been coordination the project planning, budget and funding submission over the past 18 months. Going forward he will play a key role in the ongoing project delivery and management across 42 local governments. The initial phase of the project will be determining the key priority projects and funding distribution amongst the 42 Shires. The project so far has been a great example of 42 shires working together through the Regional Road Group.
