Tin Horse Highway
Well, no-one can say we lack imagination in Kulin!
Months before the annual Kulin Bush Races, workshops are noisy not with the sound of farm machinery but with the construction of tin horses!
As October looms, one by one, new tin horses appear in the pasture and stubble paddocks lining the road now known as the "Tin Horse Highway" on the way to the Jilakin Race Track. Horses are made from all sorts of materials, striking all manner of poses.
The Tin Horse Highway is a spectacle unique to Kulin and one not to be missed.
***Take care if you pull over to photograph these magnificent creatures - the road carries many heavy haulage trucks - please pull right off the road and watch your kids.***
